Yesterday was an ugly day. The rain turned into hail and the cycle repeated into the night. However, when I woke it was to a magical fairy land of a forest decorated with frosting.

Just as the crewel night turned into shining diamonds of light, our lives can change. Sometimes wonderful things happen and change our lives forever. Sometimes the unimaginable happens and our lives are spiraling down into sorrow and darkness.

I would wish for you only the first but each of us will have the other happen to us if we really live. For how can it not happen when we are such fragile beings living in a fragile world? I’ve seen beautiful souls take the worst of news with grace. I’ve seen beautiful souls fall into a soul crushing depression. Looking at it from the outside, I’ve wondered if there is a right way to meet what life throws at us?

I believe there is. But I also believe it is different for each of us. The answer is to meet our challenges as best we can. Could we do better if we had better tools to choose from? Absolutely! And there is no doubt such wisdom is available on any variety of topics.

So, I ask you; are you searching for wisdom that will make your dreams and challenges easier to manage? Or are you just hoping that it won’t be so bad and things will work out? Is that what you would want your contractor or doctor to believe? No!

You have more ability to change your circumstances and future than you know. It takes effort and tenacity to struggle through the periods of doubt and growth. And if you do…if you dare, one morning you will wake up and realize that you have decorated your own life with the things that matter and bring you joy.
